Ater Majok joins US Monastir

The 32-year old center Ater Majok has joined US Monastir ahead of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Sportando reports Today that Majok will leave his team in New Zealand to play for Monastir.

Majok has three nationalities: Sudanese, Lebanese and Australian. He represents Lebanon in international play. Standing at 2.08 m, he brings more height to the front court of Monastir.

Born in Sudan, Majok migrated early age to Australia. After playing college with UCONN in the US, he started his professional career. In 2011, Majok was drafted 58th by the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Draft. He never played an NBA game tho, spending his 10-year career so far in multiple countries.

Majok’s last team was the New Zealand Breakers of the NBL. He averaged 6.5 minutes this season, scoring 1.6 points per game.

US Monastir has been very busy so far, signing Andre Washington, Chris Crawford, Shane Rector.
